The Foundation is home to the Eclipse IDE, Jakarta EE, and over 375 open source projects, including runtimes, tools, and frameworks for a wide range of technology domains such as IoT, edge computing, automotive, geospatial, systems engineering, and many others. The Eclipse Foundation is a not-for-profit organization supported by over 300 members, including industry leaders who value open source as a key enabler for business strategy.

Jitter

Jitter is a unique company specialized in quickly realizing high quality hardware and software solutions. They can take a concept from specification to production, allowing their customers to focus on their domain. Jitter covers the full spectrum from idea to product and has helped many startups to bring their ideas to life or developed customized data acquisition and analysis setups.

The success of Jitter highly depends on developing high quality solution with the latest technology available.

Jitter has already used the DASH7 open standard in multiple projects, according to Ingmar Jager, co-founder of Jitter, one of the reasons for joining the alliance is to dive deeper into the specification and contribute to the development as well. Additionally, the requirement for industrial IoT solutions is increasing rapidly and Jitter created a unique position in this niche market space.

Kawantech

Kawantech concentrates several key skills to create and operate innovative networks of RFID sensors. Envisioning an evolution in logistics and transportation, where all pallets are monitored along their course, Kawantech developed a full range of products and services to enable a smooth evolution between old RFID and new sensing devices. The years 2010’s saw an explosion in wireless applications. Majority of people are now carrying smartphones able to locate them by GPS, keep connected to Internet, run advanced applications 24/24 and sports an impressive set of sensors (light intensity, accelerometer, magnetic compass).
